HEY, I’M KAYLA
It all started with a pile of Vogue Magazines and a Nikon FM2.
For as long as I can remember I have always loved fashion. Every morning I dress for how I feel, sometimes I wanna be a grown up power house, and other times I wanna be a bare foot hippy. So when as a free spirited 14 year old I was given a 35mm Nikon camera, editorial style photography just became my thing.

I'm naturally drawn to capturing female strength and unique beauty.
Beauty and the female gaze just triggers an emotional response in me every time - much of my inspiration is fashion photography orientated so I guess my style has naturally evolved based on this.
Being born in Berkshire I was lucky to grow up close to London, I floated between living the life of a country girl, and dipping into London and the culture that 'she' wears.
I also lived in Brighton for a while which was a dream. I actually did my degree in Fine Art Photography there (yeh I got a First - nails emoji!). I'm drawn to change and vibrancy, I love to feed off energy, whether from nature or the streets.
My family owns a small farm house in France which is my safe place retreat - I think my nomadic lifestyle plays a huge influence on my work, and keeps it maybe even a little bit un-predictable - what's she gonna do next?
DESIGN + ILLUSTRATION
I'm also a designer and illustrator and have a print shop called Tallulah Rocks.
Fun fact - I have 2 tiny people called Tallulah and Rocko, hence the name of my print shop, Tallulah Rocks.
Tallulah Rocks sells fun, affordable + independent art. A fusion of photography, painting and digital art, it's basically my actual playground.
Being a designer in general, I also do a lot of content creation for brands, that can be anything from illustrations, to more phone based content like reels. Let's keep it viral guys!
I even build websites as a side hustle - I'm not a big fan of labels in terms of what my actual job title is, I guess I'm just a Creative.

My spirit animal is 100% an Afghan dog. She's wearing denim cut offs, an Ardeo snake chain and some badass shades.
Can always be seen with: Too much stuff in my hands, can't deal with hand bags. Always room to carry an oat milk latte with a green juice chaser though.

That being a wildcard is my super power. For years I've confused myself to brain ache, trying to figure out what my niche game is. These days, I embrace the wildcard side - label shmabel!

Mushrooms! Absolutely not about mushrooms. Or bull shit. Let's keep things cool coz 'I've got one hand in my pocket, and the other one's givin a peace sign'.

believe
Love hard and love big. My favourite people are my everything. If you live a good life, and you're kind to animals, eat well, tune into nature and look for the little things, then creativity will kiss you every day.

well this is me manifesting that I'm gonna build that house. It's gonna have polished concrete floors, bare plaster walls, black crittall bi-folds and all the green plants a girl can dream of. Best of all - it's gonna be full of my fave people, and I'm gonna get the bucks by making sexy god damn work like this mood board right here!
